Library Book Sale The Club has decided to disband its library of bridge books and is therefore offering these books to interested Bridge Players in Hertfordshire clubs in exchange for a small donation to the Friends of Michael Sobell House. A donation of £1.00 per book is suggested. Please include your name and address and state whether you’d like them delivered to your local bridge club (only if your club is prepared to help) or collect them by arrangement. Car Parking - Honestly! Despite the notice below, passes are not being returned. Any day now, we are going to reach the point where there are insufficient passes for everyone present for a session. Then, someone is going to be faced with the choice of paying to park, risk clamping or going home. The Club and Michael Sobell House will also lose out. If you have a pass in your car, please, please return it ASAP. It's a fag to walk back to the Centre but we have to make the system work. Clamping is now in force, except in the spaces outside the Michael Sobell Centre. Passes have been supplied to the Club for use only in the pay-and-display car park on the right as you enter the site from White Hill and in the spaces past the Centre. Passes must be collected from the Club and displayed. Be sure to park in the marked bays. Do not abuse the system or we could lose our privileges. Please ensure you return passes.

Autumn Bridge Supper Sat 2nd October 2010 6.00 for 6.30 Michael Sobell Centre Mt Vernon BRIDGE TUITION Every Sunday evening, throughout the year, there is friendly bridge with expert help on hand. English Bridge Union Pay-to-Play All Sobell members are now also EBU members. You can view the information held about you by the EBU by going to https://www.ebu.co.uk/members . In the login window 'user:' box, enter your EBU number. You won't initially have a password, so click 'Forgot Password?' and the EBU will email one to you (assuming you are on email). You will be able to change this password. No-one else can see your details except authorised officers of the club. On the 'My Club Membership' tab, are listed the clubs to which you belong. It may show that Sobell Bridge Club does not have permission to view your information. If so, it would be helpful to the Membership Secretary if you would grant permission by clicking the 'Read' and 'Change' buttons (she does already have this information!). The sessions in which you have played are listed. You can open a session and see the details. Master Points will be accumulated by the EBU and individual records updated at the end of each month. |
