You need FTP software to upload your files. CoreFTP can be downloaded free from www.coreftp.com. Installation is simple. Once set up, uploading takes seconds and is trouble-free.

Configure CoreFTP as follows:

  1. Start CoreFTP. You will see the "Site Manager" window - if not, click on 'Sites'/'Site Manager' Core FTP Site Manager
  2. In the Right Pane fill the boxes as follows:
  3. SITE NAME:  Results
    Host/IP/URL: ftp.sobell-bridge.org.uk
    USERNAME:  uks55128

PASSWORD:  [Phone me to get this]

  4. Click the "Advanced" button in the Site Manager and select 'Directory/Folder'Core FTP Advanced.jpg

  5. In the 'Remote Start Folder' box, enter: "html/sobell-bridge.org.uk/Results".

  6. Optionally, you can set the 'Local Start Folder' to the address of your memory stick

  7. Leave the rest of the settings as they are and click 'OK'.

Upload Results as follows

  1. Start CoreFTP and, if necessary, close SiteManager

  2. Click the Connect button Core FTP Connect.jpg Core FTP Quick Connect

If you are successful you will see comment lines above the two panes as shown in the Figure below with no warnings in red.

  1. In the left panel you will see what is in your computer’s folders. If you haven't set up your 'Local Start Folder', choose the folder you have saved your results in. If you use a floppy disk or memory stick then you have to choose drive A (floppy) or whatever letter your memory stick defaults to. In the latest versions of Core FTP, changing the folder is not so obvious as before. You need to click on the tree icon indicated in this picture:

This will display a list like this:

  1. In the right hand panel you will see the files already on the web site. All result files must be uploaded to the 'Results' folder.
  2. Now find your file in the left panel, click on it and drag it across to the right panel and drop it anywhere among the other files. You will now see your file appearing on the right panel.
  3. Disconnect or close CoreFTP

There are no longer be separate folders for each quarter.

Regards

Rob
