"The Club shall be run for the purpose of raising funds in support of, and promoting awareness of, Michael Sobell House at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood by organising the playing of social or competitive bridge in any of its forms or by other means at the discretion of the Committee."
RESULTS This is the way to access results. Just click on a date to see the results for all sessions that day. |
Hand Printouts Since we have been using the dealing machine, printouts of the hands have been available at the end of a session. The hands are also with the results on the website but the printout has additional information - a Deep Finesse Analysis of each hand. This shows what contracts could be made (with best play) by each player. In the example below, N or S could make 3D or 3S; E & W could make 1C, E 1H and W 2H.
Incidentally, this information makes it easy to see how accurate is The Law of Total Tricks. |

Car Parking Change A new firm has taken over the enforcement of car parking regulations on the whole of the Mount Vernon site (UKPC Ltd). Contravention of any of the rules will result in a £50 enforceable parking ticket. The car park outside the Michael Sobell Centre is no longer deemed to be “private” and therefore is part of the UKPC brief. UKPC are aware of the yellow event passes we hand out and this arrangement will still stand. |

English Bridge Union Pay-to-Play All Sobell members are now also EBU members. You can view the information held about you by the EBU by going to https://www.ebu.co.uk/members . In the login window 'user:' box, enter your EBU number. You won't initially have a password, so click 'Forgot Password?' and the EBU will email one to you (assuming you are on email). You will be able to change this password. No-one else can see your details except authorised officers of the club. On the 'My Club Membership' tab, are listed the clubs to which you belong. It may show that Sobell Bridge Club does not have permission to view your information. If so, it would be helpful to the Membership Secretary if you would grant permission by clicking the 'Read' and 'Change' buttons (she does already have this information!). The sessions in which you have played are listed. You can open a session and see the details. Master Points will be accumulated by the EBU and individual records updated at the end of each month. |
